We are studying swine (pig) plasma samples for proteomics. However, as long as we understand, there is no reliable commercial kit to deplete albumin and IgG from swine plasma. I wonder if anyone has experience of depletion of albumin and IgG from swine plasma.

However, you have to bear in mind that any of the depletion step may also remove some proteins of interest...

Staphylococcus aureus secretory protein, SpA, has a very strong ability to bind with human and mouse IgG. I think you can search some paper if there have some published work about the interaction of SpA and Pig IgG, or purify this recombinant protein and try the assay with Pig IgG. Also Sigma have sold the Protein A (SpA) beads.

Thanks for the information. Regarding Seppro IgY14, we have used it. However, at this point, we do not know yet if it works for pig plasma. Regarding SpA, it looks promising. Certainly I have been considering to make a column or affinity chromatography. Stay tuned for further results.
