I would like to know about conditions under which the flutter phenomenon happens in a beam or column, given loads conditioning as follows:

1- The beam or column subjected to a follower force.

2- The beam or column subjected to an axial dynamic loading

What happen to the column during the flutter phenomenon?

How does the structure frequency vary?

In order to investigate this phenomenon, which of following should be considered? w^2 or w^4?

In the matter of frequency is it complex?

During flutter phenomenon or buckling, are the component of frequency are negative, positive or zero?

Is it possible to consider different flutter mode for a beam?

Meaning for different values of frequency which are close each other in size?

Is it possible to take the smallest value as the first mode and consider higher values as higher modes of flutter?
