Dear Somaieh,

In Igor you can load more Database cause every variable is considered as a wave. In this way you should have not any limitation of data sets, except for the memory of your PC.

Anyway I think I did not understand properly you question, sorry for this. I would happy to help you more, if I can.

thanks for your reply, indeed i was not sure how shall i  explain my problem. i am able to plot a set of data for my tested groups, how i do i just go to Windows --> New--> Category plot and i select X waves and Y waves from data series 1 and i have my graph, for plotting second set of data for the same group that i create a wave for it and then i go to Graph -->append to graph -->  category plot and select X waves and Y waves from data series 2. but then i can not see the second data series as separated bars, and i how i can do this. i saved my experiment and i attached. and the type of bars that i would like to have in my graph is also saved in excel. could you please kindly let me know how i can do this?

After loading your test.xlsx set of data and studying the attached II-13 Category Plots.pdf, I have obtained what you need.

After a Cut & Paste of Data series from Xlsx to Igor Pro, the command are:

•Display data_series_1,data_seris2

•ModifyGraph mode=5

•ModifyGraph mode=0

•Display data_series_1,data_seris2 vs tested_grops

•SetAxis left -37.5,3037.5

•ModifyGraph rgb(data_series_1)=(16384,16384,65280)

•ModifyGraph barGap(bottom)=0

•ModifyGraph grid(left)=2,gridHair(left)=0

•Rename data_seris2,data_series_2;

I would do like this:

1)Windows -> New-> Category plot, and select X wave and Y wave from data series 1

2)Graph -> append to graph -> Category plot, and select only Y wave from data series 2 (X should be the same as data series 1)
