I need some data about the compressive and tensile / shear strength of Roman type mortars and cement, for emplecton compounds, made of lime and ash or other admixtures.
A rough estimation for romans pozzolanic lime concrete used in Pantheon or Pont du Gard is 2 to 5 MPa. it was much lower than the nowadays concrete buildings that is in range of 20 to 100 MPa. and in related to the mix design please consider that romans mix-design is considered as a masonry-concrete rather than fine+coarse+cement.
