I have read about the earliest manufacturers being in Guatemala but unfortunately without giving a source or a date. I´m especially interested in production in the first half of the 18th century.
The Prussian Blue who was discovered accidentally by Johann Jacob Diesbach between 1704 and 1707 ( C18Fe7N18) and about Guatemala the production of " Xiquilite" extracted from the leaves of the" indigofera " . The Indigofera tinctoria was one of the major export of Guatemala from end of 16th till end of 18th century , replaced later by coffee .
I'm not aware of a Prussian blue production especially in the fist half of the 18th century .
Please keep me posted if you have more informations .
Thank you so much for your information. That might actually be the case. I´m talking about the Prussian Blue discovered by Diesbach. Probably in my source things got mixed up. I will keep on searching for Prussian Blue in the Americas.
