I was thinking about a topic and I decided to do the evolution of electronic gaming and am unsure where to start and how to wrap it up. Mind that this is a mid term I've recently been assigned to and I have much time to gather my thoughts about how i should structure this paper.

Pretty ambitious, but for a proper answer it would be helpful to get an idea in which domain you want to write the paper. Philosophy? Sociology?

How about sexism and the plight of female gamers? Given the bullying, harrassment, and abuse they encounter, there should be lots of material for a term paper there. (Googling "girl gamers sexism" got me 239,000 results.) Female coders or programmers face similar issues.
