A few ideas to ponder -- are you viewing him from an entrepreneur's perspective? A software lens? A corporate leader? Strategist within a global market? and so forth ...
when thinking of Steve Jobs, first thing that strikes me is how he is being viewed in our society, his image. He is being presented as the visionary genious behind Apple computers, even more because he was forced to leave the company at one point, but when things got downhill, got asked back in and managed to turn things around and rescued Apple. Also looking at Elon Musk and Tesla, one can not fail but notice how media has pinpointed similarities to Steve Jobs. I believe we are talking about two very different types of character here and No, Elon Musk is no second Steve Jobs (he is Elon Musk to begin with). But it raises the question of traits of character that induce people to put somebody on a pedestal and price his genious. What makes that popular genious? Remember, we are not talking about whether Jobs has actually been a genious or not, or whether Elon Musk is, but the representation of genious in public media. What caused that notion? What makes people think that Elon Musk is comparable, and is there a reason why apparently public media seems to be on a constant lookout for the next genious?
You'd have to cut that down a bit and focus more than I did, but those are things that come to mind
It might also be interesting to spend a thought or two on the question of to what extend Steve Jobs has actually influenced the development of those successful Apple products. Did he give rough ideas? Did he pick up ideas of his surroundings? How much freedom were given to the developers? In other words: what is needed to make technical innovation that rocks the market?
Well, Steve Jobs is an interesting character, and there are so many aspects you could focus on. Im sure writing that paper is good fun!
