I am interested to find out if wind turbines located close to rivers or lakes, or perhaps even in marine locations, are a potential problem for fish. This seems to be a very under-researched area although it's obviously of potential practical importance.
This is a very interesting scenario. I think the fishes depending on the predator will react differently to the wind turbine. Those fishes that are normally eaten by birds will dive deeper when they see the blades moving.
HR Wallingford has done research on the impact of underwater turbines with respect to their impact marine wildlife which includes a fish collision model.
