Anyone has a step by step guide for designing a settling basin or sedimentation tank? I don't really know what are the parameters I should be focusing on during the design.
Coagulant and flocculant are added to promote sedimentation.
For Water treatment plant.

Dear Sir,
It depends on type of clarifier (sedimentation tank, long-rectangular, square or cylinder settling basin). The very first parameters you need to concern are flowrate (productivity) and raw water turbility (for coagulant need, basin area and length).
