In my work with aphasics and chemobrain,stress is shown in repeating longer phrases and more so in phrasing comprised of less familiar words (refer to sentence repetition subtest of the Boston Diagnostic Aphasia examination). Stress is also found in putting a speaker on the spot (like stage fright)...asking them for content that they are not well versed in resulting in word finding problems. Stutters find saying a persons'name is most difficult. Dysnomics have most dificulty with lessfamiliar content words. Chemo brain subjects have increased stress and difficulty recalling and formulating when pain, anxiety, sleep and fatigue are higher.
