what would be the advantage of using microlens arrays in the IR, compared to traditional optical systems ?

We are working with Imaging Ellipsometry (a Combination of Ellipsometry and Microscopy) and we working with a nanochromat (Accurion) (270nm-1700 nm) Maybe it is in the range of your question.
