I've been working on a MACSQuant for 2,5 years now. I find it excellent! Even though I have an old machine... It still does the job beautifully.

Ease of use is a major good point. You touch a screen to turn on the machine. There is a wash protocol between each sample, there is a complete turnoff protocol in one button. So as far as cytometers go... I would say it is super user friendly.

Reliability is very good. Daily calibrations ensure good reproducible results.

Additionally, this very small machine can read a 96 well plate. And also has racks for 5/15/50 ml tubes. In addition to the usual single tube rack. The point is that the 96 well plate capability is a big advantage with large numbers of samples, screenings and so on.My machine takes around 1,5 hours for 1 plate but the new versions should do it much faster.

Sensitivity I would say is as good as you would get with any cytometer as long as you don't want ultra sensitive stuff...

You get 8 colours in a small machine. I reccomend it!

Hi, I really like this machine. I use it extensively. Its reliable, easy to use and provides reproducible results.I really recomend.

The main drawbacks in my opinion are the software and ,in our experience, the need for frequent technical services. This must be the result of the intense use we make of it, since many persons share the machine.
