I'm interested in knowing the details about the availability of Public health professionals in various countries.
If more number of Public health professionals are available then there should be improvement in the life expectancy, reduction in the mortality and morbidity rates.
For that i want to know is there any real association between the availability of public health professional and health indicators?
As regarding the number this is not possible for me to get exact numbers, but in developing countries like India, just trend start to join public health. In few states of my country, there is public health cadre, but in most of the States public health work is done by other specialties, they do not the basics of the subject. Yes as the expertise number is increasing they play important role in the implementation of the programmes, hence there is association between public health professional and health indicators.

Do you include public health administrators? Do you include demographers, biostatisticians, and/or epidemiologists? Do you include virologists and biologists? Do you include paraprofessionals and community health workers? Do you include persons who work in community organizations? Do you include persons who work for voluntary health organizations? Do you include persons who work in private organizations but are responsible for food safety or worker health? Do you include ...? Who do you exclude?
