A synchrounus motor is a good alternative, but it will be better to consult the manufacturer of the gas turbine. They might provide or at least recommend a suitable motor for their system. Unfortunately, I don't know the price range of such ratings. Good luck

The costs of a synchrounus generator and synchrounus motor of the same size are comparable. However, it will be more accurate to request a current price from ABB using the link mentioned by Serte in the previous answer.

For the application syncronous motor drive is suitable in one of my pg dissertation my student has applied it specially for petrochemical industry the article is under process so I can't share more details here
