An integral equation has a kernel which is the main part of the integral equation. I want to know about the differential equation's kernel. If it exist then can anyone tell me what it is?
If you look at any introductory textbook on integrals equations, you will find examples of how certain boundary value problems and initial value problems can be rewritten as Fredholm and Volterra integral equations. In the process you can see how the kernel of the resulting integral equation i related to the starting differential equation.
