Its vary from different perspectives and country also. If you look at developed country like USA or UK, Germany, Australia and many more, where pharmacist are working directly with the health care service proving system like "Doctor: Pharmacist : Nurse" for a perfect care regarding the medication to administration and additionally follow up. So, there patient can get enough information regarding the drug, therapeutic activity, on set of action, possible side effect or even contraindications also. But Mostly in Asian subcontinent this type of care is so rare or starting in a small cases. In my countries perspective, most of the community pharmacy aren't run by a pharmacist even. Despite the hospitalize care, the main patients information about drug should be disseminate from community pharmacy but sadly, its not happens. So, all these factors hung in such situation and patients are not getting enough information, result in occurrence of huge adverse drug reaction or side effect related complication. The Pregnant mother , Babies & Geriatric patient are the main sufferer of such cases.
