Literature is the reflection of the society which makes the social and cultural awareness, bearing the moral information strengthening the values of human life. Teaching in existing approach for literature are not clearly identified here still I will say if the existing approach means to memories some questions and write answer in the exam copies , I don't think so it will be effective.
By 'approach', I mean the methods of teaching literature. It has nothing to do with memorization of some questions and reproduce them in the exam. My project seeks to know whether Bangladeshi literature teachers practice any of the existing literature pedagogy or not and if they practice, which one, to what extent and onto what result?
As a teacher of English literature, I would say that specified or targeted approaches to teaching have a positive impact on student learning outcomes. Now, if your system follows a rigorous evaluation of learning outcomes, then all these approaches to teaching literature must be in line with meeting the demands of the syllabus, which restrains the creativity and flexibility of teaching literature. On the other hand, if it's towards appreciation and conceptual understanding of literature, then it would be great if the learning is inquiry-based.

An inquiry-based approach has strong research support but for students who seem unmotivated or not very curious, finding topics they love and books that are great reading on these topics is a big key to unlocking students' motivation to read and learn..PBS does aa great job in this department for young readers.
