Teachers get jealous with other peer members. Student get jealous with peer students. Is it create unhealthy environment and become a barrier in teaching and learning process? How can we overcome on the jealousy in educational process?

Very good question Omprakash. Although I am in agreement with the majority of Amit’s answer, save the first line. Anyone that has entered into graduate education has seen, heard or experienced this phenomena. Academic processes are often designed to promote competition over collaboration. The rewards are greater in a competitive environment for the individual whereas in a collaborative environment the rewards are greater for those who work together. Collaborative efforts usually has a greater impact than individual efforts as in implementation science, process change and Evidence Based Practice. I have yet to read a single author Cochran review. This question should also be expanded to include teacher-student and student-teacher jealousy.

As I see it, we can overcome jealousy in educational process by bringing about cooperative, instead of competetive teachnng and learning is classroms. No one should blame an entire, holistic, noble process of teaching & learning process by taking into account a narrow, separate, solitary issue of one, two or even a small group's personal as well as negative state of mind like 'jealousy'.
