The Mario Negri Sud Institute one of the three Mario Negri Istitutes in Italy, the place where I'd worked until 10 days ago from March 1989, has been closed.
After 28-30 years of important scientific research more than 100 people (researchers, technicians, specialized staff) have been laid off.
