Ever since I received my degree in geological engineering, it has been my main goal to understand the geology of any surface area. Experience so far shows that it is easy to understand.
Dear Gholamreza: undersaturated rocks are those with contain undersaturated minerals, together with saturated minerals, with no quartz. Therefore both peridotites and foyaites qualify as understaturated. Peridotites you have surely in the ophiolites in southern Iran, therefore Ibelieve that you meant undersaturated felsic and mafic rocks, containing nepheline and its alteration products, like cancrinite or sodalite. You also don't specify if those rocks should be plutonic or volcanic, as volcanics also can have nepheline and/or leucite, and other altered products, like hauyne and nosean. Alkaline rocks such as these are usually associated with intraplate magmatism, such as in rifts or hot spots. So, that's where you should target your research: paleorifts or intracontinental hot spots chains.
