Consider we need a DFB laser structure which gives two wavelengths simultaneously. For example: 1.3u and 1.55u
Do you have any suggestion? Phase shift, making the defect in grating and some other techniques work fine in close wavelengths, but for 200nm separation I don't have any idea.

First of all I do appreciate your collaboration.
The article and the proposed structure were kinda helpful, but proposed structure is a Fabry-Perot laser from my understanding.
FP Lasers have some poor characteristics such as higher linewidth, lower SMSR, .... Compared with DFB and DBR Lasers.

I consider this some hybrid design that might serve as some starting point. While the 1550 nm structure may or may not have to remain as it is, I feel that you have more degrees of freedom for the 1310 nm substructure.
Having had a second look into the document: while you might have to stick to the mirror on one end, you should be free to use the grating of your choice on the othe end. Resulting in some hybrid design for the laser cavities themselves.
AND: Im not sure what else google has in petto. Just had a look into some of the first few links...
