We are planning a study, in which we want to measure verbal, numerical, and spatial intelligence in university students. The study takes place in a German-speaking country and we had originally planned to use the relevant subscales of the WIT-2. The editor of the journal we are submitting the study to requested that we use open source measures of intelligence. However, finding measures that are difficult enough for university students and have recent norms is quite hard. Does anybody know of open source alternatives?

The control Oral Word Association (COWA), The Rey complex figure, and Trails A & B could be use to measure verbal and spatial/visual areas. As for numerical if you mean mathematics, I am not aware of any free test, but if you meant Working memory, the Auditory Consonant Triagram (ACC) is a fantastic test.
