Hi all,

I'm currently analyzing data collected using ABAS-II among adults with intellectual disability.

We are working in a French speaking region of Europe. As the instrument not include norms for French-speaking persons, we have used US norms.

Results showed that only 64% of participants present a standardized score (practical, social, conceptual, or GAC score) under 70. For many participants this is the first evaluation of adaptive behavior, we are using US norms, is quite common that not 100% of adults living in institution supporting people with ID actually do not meet actual criteria for ID.

However, we expected to find a higher proportion. I'm trying to compare this result with the literature but I have trouble to find any study using ABAS-II among adults with ID living in institutions and presenting descriptive statistics.

Thank you in advance for your help

Claudio
