Indirectly, this study shows how pain maybe statistically significantly reduced with taping.
Jeon and colleagues found that with taping, the deformed angle of the foot of the hallus valgus patients significantly improved from 21.95 (4.38) to 18.75 (4.80) after therapy. Pain significantly decreased from 4.73 (1.56) to 3.45 (2.21) after Taping therapy. (http://europepmc.org/abstract/MED/15502433)
Dr. Benz and Lord, associated foot pain with balance deficits including hallux valgus. Their results show that the presence of foot problems, particularly foot pain, impairs balance and functional ability. They conclude that because foot pain is amenable to treatment, podiatric intervention has the potential to improve mobility and independence in older people. Place the base of Y tape at the side of the first toe and adhere two tails towards the heel at the side. No stretch is applied during application. Change tape everyday for personal hygiene.
dear Sebnem, Have just found this question and would like to add that more research on taping hallux valgus has been published. These are the ones I know of.

Like Francisco I would suggest you tape and test for a longer period of time.... 2 days does not say much at all. I would suggest at least one week AND after 4 weeks.... This would give you an impression of what the long-term effects are.
I would also suggest having 2 patient groups, one with normal treatment and one with normal treatment and taping. Comparing them in pain, and with a balance test should give you a better impression of the differences.
dear Sebnem, thank you, I have found the abstract but not the poster. Are you planning on adding the poster as well? Would be nice to see how you applied tape. etc
Sorry, I misunderstood. It is in Turkish but if you give me your mail address I can send a picture of the poster. Send your mail address as a private message please.
