I need to gather information on plant care attributes (e.g. size, growth form, hardiness, drought tolerance, flowering period, pest susceptibility, etc) about many garden plant taxa. Can you recommend a publicly available one? I know rhs.co.org but they didn't let me use their website as a database, so I need something that I can just download or purchase and cite in a paper.
There are two in german: www.naturaDB.de and www.hortipedia.de.
the first one is free, the second costs about 2,50 € per month.
I also used www.galasearch.de some years ago, but think it must be paid for now. You can translate via deepl to english and there are many figures which are self explainable in the descriptions. Another alternative are books in old fashioned print.
