Although the exact role of magnetite nano-particles for human brain functions remains to be determined in details, it is widely believed to play an important role in the nervous system. Do you have information about the mechanism of forming magnetite nano-particles in the human brain?

I'm only aware of magnetite particles from air pollution that can travel up the olfactory nerve to brain. These are produced naturally?
