In Italy at national level in 2008 a series of LIDAR measurements were done over almost 50% of the country focusing on populated areas, industrial areas and infrastructures. In 2011 the whole coastline was acquired.

Unfortunately the technical parameters are not easily to obtain. There is the National GeoPortal which includes the footprints of the LIDAR scenes acquired and all the derived products can be accessed both as CSW, WMS and ArcGIS service, but not the LIDAR scenes.

Furthermore the website, apart from the first pages, and the metadata are all in Italian, don't know how useful can be for you. However this is the link:

I may not be too precise about the resolution, but I know Lagos State in Nigeria has LIDAR data covering the state and it can be purchased from the Office of the Surveyor General of Lagos State. You may visit:

In Brunei Darussalam, LiDAR was acquired in 2009 (2pts/m2). Similar aerial photography (pixel size 0.19m). Aerial photography is typically acquired every five years. There is no browser for both. They are distributed in 1 sq km tiles. The tile's corners are coincidental with the 1 km grid of the local map projection (GRSO - Geocentric Rectified Skew Orthomorphic - on GRS 80).

In Spain, the National Plan of Aerial Orthophotography (PNOA, in spanish) targets the obtention of digital areial orthophotographies with resolution of 15 or 50 centimeters, high precision and Digital Elevation Models (DEM) of all the spanish territory, with an update period of 2 or 3 years, depending on the area.

PNOA flights include LiDAR aerial campaings, targeting at a nominal density of 0.5 points per square meter, nominal inter-point distance of 1.4 meters, a point-cloud altimetric accuracy of 20 centimeter (RMSE_z), a DEM altimetric accuracy of 50 centimeters (RMSE_z), and a grid distribution of 5m x 5m.

In Taiwan, We have a national LiDAR project  acquired from 2011 to 2015. The setting of point cloud density are 2 pt/m2 in below  an altitude of 800 meters, and 1.5 pt/m2 in above 800 meters. The gird size is 1m*1m.

There are two types of final lidar data in Czech republic.

DMR 4G covers all Czech territory, XYH 5x5 m raster data (XY - Křovak system, H - Baltic hights), mean square error H-coordinate is 0.3 m in open field and 1 m in forested terrain

DMR 5G cover about 68% of Czech territory, XYH TIN data (XY - Křovak system, H - Baltic hights), density of point cloud is 1 pt/m2, mean square error H-coordinate is 0.18 m in open field and 0.3 m in forested terrain

Orthophoto is generated in 2 year period now with 0.25 m resolution.

Data of this nature is in the Public Domain at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).  Major data center for topographic information, aerial photography coverage, LIDAR, etc. is at the USGS EROS Data Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Furthermore, the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing has recently published Guidelines for LIDAR projects at: www.ASPRS.org.  (That's also where my column is published every month on the Grids and Datums of a different country every month ... including on the Czech Republic back in January 2000.)
