Dear all,

we are already starting a research on the use of eye tracking and biometric measurement systems in industrial engineering with a special focus on (i) design and (ii) manufacturing/assembly. The hypothesis for (ii) is, that the use of eye tracking systems gives us inputs and data to evaluate the user-friendliness of an assembly workplace in order to optimize it. In addition to an increase of productivity also a reduction of quality problems is expected.

If you have literature or experience on the application of such technologies in the shopfloor please let me know.
