Not always knowledge makes a person happy. Sometimes a lot of knowledge makes a person spray his efforts. This is especially true in a digital society.
Therefore, the most important thing is not the amount of knowledge in human consciousness, but the ability to apply knowledge in practice.
Yes, certainly, knowledge and understanding make us happy and happy as people, because we will feel that we are an important thing in human societies. We cannot be neglected or exceeded and thus achieve self-satisfaction
Knowledge, understanding, awareness, spirutiality and deep learning make you more happy, thoughtful, consiencious and grateful to the God and people around you.
Knowledge that enables one function, live, and work productively makes people content and happy. On the contrary, knowledge of political, business, economic, health care, social mechanisms, and other environments that one cannot change, brake, overcome, modify, etc. bring a profound dissatisfaction. In many ways, deep knowledge also brings a lot of sadness.
Not in all cases, we have seen knowledgeable person get frustrated to the extent of committing suicide. Happiness is an inner Joy or satisfaction that is not limited to knowledgeable or educated people. Even many market men and women are happy with themselves.
I agree@ Shakir Tuleab for your answer " that knowledge and understanding make us happy and happy as people, because we will feel that we are an important thing in human societies".
Reading your interesting question reminded me that we are humans: so, that means we are able to turn on different "engines" in our biosystem, such as Brain, Mind, Soul and, why not, even our Heart.
All that to say that if we try to build a great harmony among all these "engines", we will be able to be involved in an ever-increasing Thirst for Knowledge aimed at improving ourselves and the scopes and/or contexts of our interest.
At the same time, understanding will be derived from such a great awareness that can embrace different aspects of life.
It is so exciting and fascinating to feel to have understood something and/or Someone.
Experiencing that means to truly feel humans in the world: Empathy is one of the greatest emotional "outputs" involved in this amazing process.
Therefore, my answer is YES, they should make us feel like that, if the final goals of knowledge is noble and worthy of dignified recognition.
Finally, I have always thought that learning is an endless process full of emotional aspects and ranges.

I would argue that it doesnt. Once you understand the perilous state of the planet how can you possibly remain happy ? Everyone is running around cheering the extinction rebellion while temperature has risen 1.2 C since 1850..so much for the Paris accord. The math is we are heading to 3 - 6 C warming. If you dont know you can be happy. If you do know the only way to be happy is to ignore whats happening. Whatever happens to reduce emissions ocean acidification WILL happen. Nothing can stop it now
Knowledge make me happy always because IKnow the benefits become for all when?if iknow some thing and just I keep it this is wrong and not useful for me even its make me not good as Ifeel it that but if the knowledge become for all that is good thing and this is my happiness finally the answer of when that is when you publishs own reasearch in the world
In an intellectual environment, knowledge may or may not give you happiness, but at least it prevents you from feeling frustrated. On the other hand, a high knowledge of some aspects of life will not necessarily make you happy, perhaps the opposite. Finally, we have all met people with basic and fair knowledge, but they are happy!
Knowledge and understanding gives you greater wisdom to make appropriate choices. Rather than acting impulsively and irrationally one could think over a problem or situation and come up with more accepting answers and therefore be at peace and contentment with the surroundings and yourself.
Well, hard to say they give happiness or content !!! Greater understanding makes us want more and less contented I would argue ! The lesser we want not even knowledge we strive to get more and may be that gives a purpose and hence content ...
Striving for more knowledge is unquenchable thirst until we understand that we are ourselves the source to be known first in order to understand the universe fully around us and beyond...
There is a difference between having knowledge and understanding something. One may have knowledge of economic concepts such as inflation but the person may not understand how it works. When the person understands inflation and the causes of it that person can make better decisions. Therefore, when you have both knowledge and understanding, it should make you content and happy.
I think knowledge and understanding is not what makes someone content and happy unless it is delivered, presented or publicized. So indirectly if we see, it is the recognition that makes one happy in today's world.
I believe happiness is an expression of a state of being relative to an experience or a moment. If a person develops knowledge and understanding of themselves at a point in time when it is of personal relevance or motivation, it is likely happiness is more easily attained.
Learning is the key to creativity and happiness; this implies knowledge and understanding as great pleasures, but happiness is a much more holistic experience, which permeates the whole living body as one unit.
Whether the knowledge and understanding is negative it is still knowledge that I did not have before. It now allows me to take steps to better myself and/or the situation I am in.
In my opinion, knowledge alone does not provide happiness for man. However, if thanks to specific knowledge a person can solve complex problems, then he or she can feel happy. A person can be happy not because of the mere possession of knowledge but only from its effective use in his life, in a specific activity, in work, in solving life problems, etc. If knowledge is effectively used, then its acquisition, expansion may also be one of the important enabling factors that increase the likelihood of success and satisfaction. If knowledge alone would ensure happiness then you could ask autonomous robots, androids or quantum computers analyzing and processing huge sets of data, information and knowledge in Big Data database systems are they happy? Of course, this is a rhetorical question, because machines do not have feelings so they will not feel happiness.
I think so: More knowledge and understanding could help in our understanding of factors that improve our standards of life, our social and political policies as well as tolerance of other communities!
Providing people with relevant knowledge is a better tool for sustainable development...
