Think about it, under normal democratic outcomes rationality drives action and policy making to advance the best interest of the majority. Pure irrationality here is not tolerated, especially if it goes against the rule of law. However under extreme democratic outcomes irrationality drives action and policy making to advance the best interest of the minority, but it is a special type of rationality, it is rational irrationality. Pure rationality here is not accepted or it is discouraged, even if it is within the rule of law. Facts have been accumulating since 2016 to now 2020 in the UK/BREXIT and in the USA/USEXIT about this, which may explain why the leaders of normal democratic forces have difficulty dealing with the leaders of extreme democratic forces. And this bring the question, do extreme democratic outcomes like BREXIT and USEXIT need rational irrationality to thrive? I think yes, what do you think?
