Care leavers are more vulnerable. A lot of people in social housing can be vulnerable and have health issues, mental problems. Young care leavers have a a higher risk of homelessness, unemployment, young parenthood, imprisonment, prostitution, suicide or self-harm, low education levels, poor social connections, and a dependence on social welfare, in comparison to young people who have not lived in out-of-home care.
