I'm looking forward to conducting an experiment in which I'd like to irradiate a substance in an aqueous buffer solution (pH = 7,7) containing 5 % of DMSO. My goal is to investigate the substances behaviour when being exposed to UV-light. Iradiation time should expand from several hours to several days.

Does anyone know if DMSO degrades in some kind of polymeric or other influencing way which might distract my frequent HPLC-analytics?

I've found a paper in which the authors investigated degradation pathways of DMSO under UV-Irradiation to small organic molecules (e.g. dimethylsulfide) which should not distract HPLC-analysis by producing strongly UV-absorbing by products:
