-star shaped
every node connects to a common center O
With N nodes (counting O), that's N-1 links
-meshed
all nodes connect to each other
with N nodes, that's N. (N-1)/2 links
- daisy chained
let us index the nodes i=1... N
Node i connects to i +1, ..., N to 1.

etc...
decentralized network were nodes connected in the network are not dependent on a single server point and each node holds the entire copy of the network configurations. Where distributed networkd receive inventories of goods and then deliver them to customers.
