Why do people appear to be sadists? Some of the causes are revenge, dominance, fascination with living flesh. Any other causes? Evidence? Are there real sadists and apparent sadists? How do they differ in motive? I would specifically like to ask Dr. Erin Buckels if the crunching sound was more pleasing or the actual death of the bugs/insects? Did it produce feelings of purity from bugs? Why do you think people would really enjoy the pain of others' suffering? Is it the pain which really produces excitement or some other elements of the situation? For example attention to the faces (which may be perceived funny) made during pain trigger laughter, or the sounds of pain may trigger laughter and not the pain itself?
