I have work in a lab and the Perkin-Elmer Diamond DSC is not connecting to the computer. The computer says the machine is offline, the lights on the front of the machine do not turn on, but there is a dim red light I can see through the cooling grate in the back. I've checked all connections and researched the issue online to no avail. I'm not sure what else I can do to troubleshoot before having to have someone from Perkin-Elmer come out and take a look at the machine.

I suggest you to turn off both computer and DSC at first. Then, turn on the DSC instrument. Finally, turn on the computer.
I hope your problem will be solved.
check the power cables if possible replace with another and try powering up. if it does not power up, better to wait for the technician.
