Your question seeks integration and interoperability between GIS and BIM? The integration of information from different scales and domains of building information modeling and geographical information systems. Yes, practically the building and geospatial data are shared and exchanged through a common data format, such as industry foundation classes (IFC) but not information peculiar either system. Additionally, the use of semantic web technology ensures interoperability between existing BIM and GIS tools in three practical steps namely: main steps: ontology construction, semantic integration through interoperable data formats and standards, and query of heterogeneous information sources. please refer to the Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering Volume 30, Issue 3 (May 2016)
I'm working with a BIM-GIS database which include point clouds, BIM models and GIS data for sutdying the requalification pontential of urban areas. I'm developing a tool that make queries from BIM models and GIS data, make elaborations with other inputs and print the results via webGIS interface. I'm using BIMserver (https://github.com/opensourceBIM/BIMserver), QGIS and leaflet.
