I want to evaporate NMP (N-methyl-pyrolidone). But its' boiling point is really high and it polymerizes at the boiling temperature. I am looking for solvents which if mixed with NMP, will bring down the boiling temperature of NMP.
Are you sure the NMP you are using is N-methyl pyrimidine? This is an ionic compound.
NMP usually refers to N-methyl pyrrolidone which is a common solvent. To remove N-methyl pyrrolidone, the most common way is to add water and extract with an organic solvent. The problem is your compound may not dissolve in the organic solvent. The other common removal methods are by vacuum distiallation or lyophilisation.
There is a database of the azeotropes formed with NMP but never tried it.
