I am conducting a descriptive study to find out the impact of factors associated with customers` satisfaction which statistical technique is suitable to analyse the data
As you will probably be working with data from a question like; please indicate how happy you are with the product/service that you received (on a scale of 1to 5 where 1= very dissatisfied and 5=very satisfied)? The most appropriate method would be an ordered probit or logit. These methods account for the ordered (I.e you can rank the responses in a logical way as very dissatisfied is clearly lower than very satisfied etc) nature of your responses. Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) is most probably not suitable in this case. Good luck, Marc
You mentioned your study is a Descriptive study. So, you do your research in the following ways.
1. Demographic factors are important factors in the society and greatly affect attitudes, lifestyle, standard of living, etc.
2. This study intends to investigate the impact of these factors on customer satisfaction with any area (particularly in your research area).
3. If your study is based any device, then to investigate the different market segments so as to the better understand and the needs of different customers in your research area.
4. You have to find the relationship between age, gender, socio economic status, location and employment with customer satisfaction.
