I am planning to isolate bacteria from the rumen of cows to see if they have conjugated linoleum acid - activity. I read that rumen samples should be kept under anaerobic conditions and in cool conditions. Does someone know the best method to do it?

You can use the candle technique. You have to put your sample in a jar and light a candle inside the jar and seal its door.
