I would check with your local Meteorological Department, as these should be collected at local Met stations. Choose an official site that collects this close to your site. It will be affected by the Latitude and longitude and cloud cover.
It depends on the location and type of the data required for your study but you can find free data files for some location available here https://energyplus.net/weather
Hi, you can obtain historical data of solar generation of the Spanish Electric Network at https://demanda.ree.es/movil/peninsula/demanda/tablas/2017-02-07/2
The 22 years average solar radiation of any place in the world is available with NASA METROLOGICAL website. The longitude, latitude and MSL(main sea level) of the place is to be given as INPUT data. From January to to December, day-wise.hourly synthetic data is available.
SoDa really provide hourly solar radiation (beam, Direct and Diffuse) for Cameroon. I found also weather data, but there are some contradiction with the month of Feb and September.
It has been a while since you made this post, but I wanted to make sure that you were aware of the FREE solar radiation data offered by Solcast, for researchers and students.
We've already had 155 researchers and students from around the world register for FREE Solcast solar radiation data (Normal, Diffuse, Global): https://solcast.com.au/solar-data-api/free-solar-radiation-historical-and-forecasting-data-for-researchers/
It depends mainly on the location of interest. The data from NASA meteorological website are free (https://data.nasa.gov/Earth-Science/Prediction-Of-Worldwide-Energy-Resources-POWER-/wn3p-qsan). Can also try this one (https://re.jrc.ec.europa.eu/pvg_tools/en/tools.html). Hope this helps!!

You can try https://power.larc.nasa.gov/data-access-viewer/ for free. FYI, that website provides daily solar radiation data in MJ/m2/day. You also should visit www.toolkit.solcast.com.au...
I think it is too late to provide this link. However, if someone like me needs it any time soon this link provides organized hourly/monthly data based on location.
Most of the recent additions are just repeats of older ones...
A general answer (including both free and commercial sources, as well as both modeled and measured data) can be found in Chapter 6 of Book Best Practices Handbook for the Collection and Use of Solar ...
There is some free data available (Solar Anywhere Public License) for sites scattered across the globe at Clean Power Research: https://www.solaranywhere.com/2021/pv-innovation-boost-new-solaranywhere-public-no-cost-solar-data-select-locations/
Dear Ekoe Aloys . Each region has its own solar radiation data . Just contact the meteorological center in the region and they will provide you with the needed data.
