Currently working on my thesis, I find it difficult to obtain data on the theme above. With micro data really difficult to implement, is there any sites, reports etc apart from GEM and OECD that might help me to obtain dataset?
"Entrepreneurial networks" could be eveyrthing - from the network of start-ups in incubators (which could be easily accessed by their web-sites and also monitored over time), through network of companies based on co-shareholders/co-managers, obtainable through corporate registers and Amadeus, to specific networks say of companies in EU projects (this could be obtained through the open data portal of the Commission)... The key point is to see what exactly you would study as a dependent variable and what would be independent and they see how you could operationalise network participation. You can even study a sample of firms and they trying to map their networks. Obviously there would be not a ready database that you get and start calculating. But there is a lot of data available and through merging different datasets you can achieve a lot of interesting results. And also it is important to know if you are doing pan-EU study or country-specific one, as you might be able to dig deeper country-by-country. So, if you share more details of your research proposal people here might be able to get more specific answers.
