I was wondering if anybody has experience of establishing xenografts inoculating subcutaneously CT26 cells without the use of Matrigel.
If so, how many cells were used? How fast do the tumors grow? How long to get to 100-150 mm3?

I have not tried establishing xenografts without the use of Matrigel. Nevertheless, I came across an article which I have attached below for your reference. The investigators have inoculated subcutaneously CT26 cells without the use of Matrigel to establish xenograft model.

How many cells were used?
You may use 1 x10^7 cells/ml.
How fast do the tumors grow?
Monitor tumor progress every 3 days.
How long to get to 100-150 mm^3?
11-12 weeks.
