For a Cr:Nd:YAG ceramic solar laser medium, we have measured less than 20% laser output power enhancement at low solar pumping power level of, say several hundred Watt at the focus, as compared to that by a single-crystal Nd:YAG medium. At high pumping power level of more than 1 kW, however, we have found a significant degradation of the laser output performance by the Cr:Nd:YAG medium, offering much less solar-to-laser efficiency than that by the Nd:YAG medium, have you noticed the same laser performances ? Do you have any theoretical analysis result or prediction?
