That's really a great idea because all students do not get the proper instruction or knowledge.

Sir, no doubt ResearchGate is best platform, but can we create a group on researchgate in which only life sciences relevant experts, researchers & students etc will be a part of this group & in which every expert could suggest new methodology & new ideas? I am not sure whether we can create a group here & to add people of our choice thats why i ask for the suggestions regarding new group on new platform where we can customize as well as could add & discuss things easily & even could install app & get notification of every reply/post on our cell phones.

Mubasher Rehman I would be wary of joining such a group. Much of the inspiration, information and discussion on ResearchGate occurs between people of different specialities. You would be surprised at the number of techniques, theories and insights that are common in one field and unknown in another. For example, the urban geographers have a much better theoretical framework for studying resilience than the health scientists! (This is changing, thankfully) And the ecologists have ways of analysing likert-scale items that convey more information than you will see from health scientists.

There is a gaelic proverb ní neart go chur le chéile, meaning there is no strength like the strength you get when you put it all together (I know, it's a very efficient gaelic syntax!). Let us all learn from one another, I say.

Another drawback of social media platforms is that they have no memory. I get emails following up on answers I gave to questions here years ago. ResearchGate now is a repository of fascinating discussion and valuable information. Why base a group on a platform that does not allow collective knowledge, wisdom and debate to accumulate in a way that is searchable?

Dear Ronán Michael Conroy Sir, you are absolutely right, and that was the only reason I asked question here about group creation, so that I could get an idea, pros as well as cons, and no doubt you have described each and everything very well and with proper facts. I am really thankful and I really appreciate it.

But on researchGate there should be a group where we all discuss and share ideas with each other and can work in collaboration. what do you suggest about it? and any idea or suggestion if you would like to share about posting such question/discussion or any other way?

Actually, the core reason for asking this question is to share life sciences research ideas with each other so that we can do new discoveries etc.

I think that idea is very good and that Researchgate is best choice. We already have pages Home, Questions, Jobs, COVID-19. Some of us have Projects. My opinion is that existing platform is good and appropriate. Everybody can formulate his idea in the same way as we doing now, maybe with additional title "Idea:" or similar, everybody can follow it, it's easy to search and/or select, ... Bigger problem is to present some new idea without previous analysis. Another interestin aspect are mistakes of any kind in scientific papers. In some articles I found some interesting mistakes but to whom present them ?
