Hello,

I am looking for some answers regarding the following situation. I am using the GC FID, equipped with a CP SIL 9076 Column to quantify the mono, di and triglycerides from glycerol esters. I observed that in the last period we are unable to detect the triglyceride, form glycerol monooleate (GMO), where normally we have around 10 % of triglycerides. When I have analysed a glycerol trioleate (GTO), the signals for the triglycerides are present. I made some tests, mixing 50% of GMO with 50 % of GTO, and the presence of both GMO and GTO is well represented on the chromatogram. Considering this, I made another mix between 90 % GMO + 10 % GTO. For this last mixture, there is no signal for the presence of GTO. Do you think that the column might be at its end of life? We started to use this column in 2018 and we use it for about 2-3 analyses by week.

Thank you in advance for your time!
