I am writing an article on cyber annexation through disinformation and would like to base my argument on annexation through disinformation on papers for example from the field of politology or law that argue that the intent behind the disinformation campaign for example in Moldova or previously in some parts of Ukraine was annexation of the country or parts of its territory - could you please highlight to me some papers/books you came across, where the author argues this was the intent? Particularly for countries neighboring superpowers like Russia and China, because arguing that foreign interference into say US elections was with the intent of annexation of the US would probably be quite far fetched :D
