Dear Paul and Mary

I am looking at how to CHANGE gender/social norms. There is a lot of literature on norms that restrict.

The Azerbaijan example, Paul, looks interesting. I will look it up

I am just back from a visit to one district in Tamil Nadu, India wherein the NGO, women's groups and fisher'men' 's councils worked together to stop the practice of giving of gifts by the bride's side to the groom's side when his parents passed away. The gifts ranged from fridge, television, to gold. They stopped this in 41 fishing villages.

I am looking for examples like this.
