Writing thesis/dissertation what is the proper term/heading for the very chapter, Method or Methodology?

Research methds are the tools,techniques, or processes that we use in our research, these might be, e.g., surveys, interviews, etc.Methods and how they are used are shaped by methodology.
Methodology is the study of how research is done, how we find about the principles that guideour research practices.Methodology, therefore, methodoloy explains why we are using certain methods or tools in our research.
I can tell you the Structure of Disseration - Analytical Review of the Literature on the topic, Methods and Materials used in the Resurch, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Reference. Methodology is a general term decribing all required methods to conduct a specific research. Good luck !
If you are following what Denis Feather said, and discussing Ontology and Epistemology in your chapter, then you could use the label Methodology, because, as Masoumeh Bahman said, that would amount to the study of how research is done. But as she also said, methods would describe a set of tools and techniques -- so if your are talking about the specific procedures that you will use to collect and analyze your data, then that would be Methods.

I am talking about the research design, the research questions, hypotheses, the measures, the statistical
techniques and the sampling procedure which I am using in my research. So I think that the term Methods is appropriate not the methodology? Am I right?
