I need to simulate some of my idea with iFogSim but i couldn't find how to simulate resource management and energy calculation with iFogSim.

Actually i need some simple example about iFogSim to learn it.

For IoT environments Contiki OS and Cooja emulator is an option for emulating Wireless Sensor Networks (http://contiki-os.org). It is open source and has several ready to use examples. Moreover, you can use NodeRed, Proteus, Cisco Packet Tracer, ns-2 and ns-3.

On the other hand, for Fog/Cloud Computing simulations there are also several simulators you can use, such as CloudSim, CloudAnalyst, GreenCloud, iCanCloud, MDCSim, NetworkCloudSim, VirtualCloud.

Of course there are more, but it is on you to choose which one fits your needs.

I am using Packet tracer and i am satisfied with the results.

Use Yet another Fog Simulator or Ifogsim. Both the simulators allow creation of fog environments and also allow creation of applications specific to their arrival rates, burst times and other specific properties. YAFS is developed in python while IfogSim is entirely in java. YAFS has less classes to edit and hence is easier of the simulators while both the simulators provide equal funstionality.

Verification, validation, measurement,...

There is no single all-in-one tool to check/analyze these aspect...

I think the question needs to be more specific.

iFogSim and EdgeCloudSim are two useful tools based on CloudSim.

There's a pretty cool fog computing emulator that I played around with some time back called EmuFog:

EmuFog is useful because it provides emulation capabilities which allows you to test your simulations on real hardware which can provide more accurate behavior when working with IoT and Fog services that are computationally complex (e.g. computer vision or video analytics types of applications) that simulators aren't able to represent.

Hello kamal, NetSim is a commercial tool and I don't know of any free version available. However, your university can purchase it at deeply discounted edu prices. It is really worth going for an Edu package of a tool like OPNET or NETSIM than waste years of time trying to figure out open source tools.
