Aimé Césaire, a Caribbean writer from Martinique, employed Yoruba deities in his theatrical works. He was part of the anti-colonial francophone Négritude-movement of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, a literary group that critiqued the politics of assimilation in the French colonies of that time and that re-evaluated cultural and political ties with the African continent. And then there is Amos Tutola (Egba) from Nigeria who wrote on/with Yoruba traditions. I am sure there are many more, but these two immediately came to my mind. Tutola wrote in English, Césaire in French. Not sure if this answer helps you, because you have a more specific question, but these are examples from literature. I could imagine that the Négritude movement was rediscovering Yoruba-terminology, yet their writing is in French, sometimes translated into English.

The American-born black African anthropologist and novelist Zora Neale Hurston (born, January 7, 1891, Notasulga, Alabama, U.S.A.; died January 28, 1960, at the SLC Senior Citizens Recreation Center in Ft. Pierce, Florida, U.S.A.), extensively uses Yoruba derived motifs and imagery rooted in American and Haitian variants of West African and Central African beliefs and practices respected by the adherents of the Vodun cosmological monotheist theology. Hurston portrays the male protagonist in her first novel, Jonah's Gourd Vine (1934), as a symbolical emblem of Damballah Ouedo, Vodun (African)/Vodoun (Haitian) loa divinity of the river of life, as I demonstrate in my book chapter 10, titled "Zora Neale Hurston's Vodun Christianity Juxtaposition: Theological Pluralism in Their Eyes Were Watching God" on pages 237 to 253 in the academic monograph titled Zora Neale Hurston, Haiti, and Their Eyes Were Watching God, published by the Northwestern University Press in Evanston, Illinois, U.S.A., under the faculty directorship of Dr. La Vinia Delois Jennings, Professor of American Literature and African and African American Culture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee, U.S.A., in 2013. Professor Dr. Jennings is the award-winning book author of Toni Morrison and the Idea of Africa, published by the Cambridge University Press on April 17, 2008. Dr. Jennings traveled to Africa and Haiti to supplement her well-researched scholarly study of Toni Morrison, who won the 1993 Nobel Prize in Literature, as the second black African American recipient; St. Lucian black African American poet and playwright Derek Alton Walcott was the first black African American to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, which he received in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1992.

In Chapter Two of my scholarly book on the pervasive influence of West African and Central African monotheistic theocentric cosmology in the United States of America, titled African Heartbeat: Transatlantic Literary and Cultural Dynamics, I provide textual evidence that Zora Neale Hurston depicts Janie Mae Crawford, the female protagonist in her most popular and critically acclaimed second novel, Their Eyes Were Watching God (1937), as a vividly energetic, compelling human embodiment of Damballah Ouedo's wife, Ayida Ouedo, the Yoruba derived Vodun (African)/Vodoun (Haitian) orisha divinity of "sky and heaven" (Nancy Ann Watanabe, Chapter Two: Zora Neale Hurston: Africa Transported to America, on pages 25 to 64 in African Heartbeat: Transatlantic Literary and Cultural Dynamics, Hamilton Books, an imprint of Rowman and Littlefield, Lanham, Maryland, U.S.A., 2018; page 25).
